The window

One hour, and the file is gone

You start a conversion, a call interrupts you, you come back ninety minutes later — and there is nothing. That is not a fault but a stated rule.

Start a conversionAnd download inside the window

The rule itself

  • Runs the page tools entirely in your browser: those files are never uploaded

The tools that run in the browser are untouched by this window: there is no server-side result in the first place. The window belongs to the conversions that need processing.

Why it works this way

A converted file is a copy of your document on a machine that is not yours. The shorter it sits there, the better for you, even if it feels like an inconvenience in the moment.

What it means in practice

Download as soon as the processing ends rather than putting it off. If you are working through several files, finish each one before starting the next instead of collecting results until the end of the day.

Two things plainly

  • Keep your converted file afterwards — a server-side result is held for 60 minutes and then deleted
  • Let you download the result without a subscription — running the tool is open to everyone, the download is not

If you miss the window

Run the conversion again. The original file is yours and untouched, and repeating the operation costs nothing extra.
